HISTORY OF WPSA
The World Poultry Science Association was founded with one mission in mind; To spread knowledge throughout
its members regarding the poultry industry world wide. To achieve this mission, the organisation
decided to setup branches around the world which would incorporate people with an interest in
poultry, to exchange information. Each branch organises World Congresses, regional conferences and group
meetings which coincide with other branches to further expand their knowledge and keep up to date with
the rest of the world.
The World Poultry Science Association publishes a Journal (World's Poultry Science Journal), which
is published four times per year (March, June, September and December). Each member of every branch
gets a copy of this journal.
Gaining membership not only gives you access to our quarterly journals, but also gains you discounts on
all congress fees on all international congresses and conferences given by the World Poultry Science
Association.
The aim of the Australian Branch of the WPSA is to keep this country active and informed within this industry. We
have created an up to date website which assists in keeping our members up to date without them having to
leave their homes! This branch is constantly holding meetings which interested parties are more than welcome
to attend. Details on these events will be found on this website, under "Upcoming Events", when
more detail becomes available.
