True HEPA filter is over 99.97 % efficient in trapping from the air all dust and allergens down to 0.3 micron in size such as: lung damaging dust, mold and plant spores, dust mites, dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander, bird feather dust, microbes, bacteria, viruses, etc. Super light cloth embed dust carbon removes over 4000 chemical substances and all noxious odors. Cloth embed dust carbon makes the unit HM HEGA 14 lb. lighter. However, it doesn't have the same adsorption capacity as 15 lb. of activated granular carbon in the model HM400 and may require more often filter replacements. HEGA is an exclusive to Austin Air products. Austin HM HEGA is perfect for cleaning areas up to 1500 sq. ft. but provides best air cleaning result in anarea up to 800 sq. ft. |
